NEW YORK – There’s more work to be done. adding Cody Bellinger to Tuesday's trade with the Chicago Cubs was a natural first step toward upgrading the Yankees’ Juan Soto-less batting order. 2383084 Bellinger, 29, fits in the outfield, but his ability to play a solid first base gives the Yankees some flexibility as they scour the trade and free-agent markets for more offense. Ideally, the Yankees would add a potent corner infield bat with an above-average defensive reputation, but there are several intriguing avenues to pursue. |
